Web-app developer: permanent, full-time, £28k+

We're looking to grow our small development team who are working on an exciting single-page HTML5 web-app which uses JavaScript on both the client and server.

You'll be working primarily in CoffeeScript, using Node.js on the server and with the help of Backbone.js and jQuery for the desktop-client interface. You'll be using PostgreSQL and Redis datastores and connecting our client(s) with a RESTful API. You'll also be using the HTML5 canvas API.

Ideally you also some experience with general server setup and operation (DevOps) as well as HTML/CSS/jQuery interface construction. Node.js C++ extension development would also be useful.

We want someone who can create wonders for our brand, building awareness about our exciting little company.

You're a fantastic copy writer who is thrilled at the idea of working with our team to create a really compelling and active blog. You know how to build a solid Twitter presence, communicating with existing and potential followers, listening for mentions of our brand and pulling in new hordes of followers.

Senior UI/UX designer: permanent, full-time, £28-35k

You're passionate about creating an engaging and compelling experience for users, laser focused on removing any blockers and ambiguity, constantly usability testing and investigating metrics to (in)validate your hunches. Your key strengths lie in capturing the full user experience through user flows, storyboarding, wireframes and prototypes.

You may find it useful to use HTML, CSS and Javascript to create rich high-fidelity prototypes, but our experienced web development team has that area covered if not. If graphic design isn't your forte you'll also have a graphic designer on tap to liaise with in creating an engaging visual experience.

Your knowledge is not confined to the web as you have a mixture of commercial experience between web, mobile and desktop software applications, perhaps complemented by an appropriate college or equivalent qualification. You have an efficient and productive way of working but we're agnostic about the tools and software you choose to do this.

Software engineers (HTML5 web-app)

We're always looking for highly-talented software engineers to join our growing team on our cutting-edge web-app. Our back-end is in PHP and Node.js with extensive client-side Javascript (inc jQuery) too. Creative design wizards

We make books. Lots of books. We want our books to look as amazingly splendid as possible, and that's where you come in if you're a design wizard. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop... yes, you should know these programs, but don't be afraid to learn new ones such as Inkscape, Scribus or web-based solutions. Most importantly of all you're creative, coming up with exciting and original designs.
