Creative contents pages

30 March 2017

While adding the finishing touches to your profile and collage pages it is easy to get swept up in the creation process and before you know it your print deadline is approaching.

The first page anyone will see once they’ve opened their shiny new yearbook is page one (obviously…) so it’s definitely worth putting a little thought in to using the page wisely.

A notebook-themed background can provide a simple yet effective base for a contents page. Add in a hand-written font such as Cedarville Cursive and you’ve upgraded your contents page in less than 10 minutes!

For a subtle, pretty contents page like our ‘Rainy Day’ example all you need is a couple of PNGs and a matching background. Or go for a gallery effect by browsing through our frame PNGs and selecting a couple to box your page names.

If you’ve got plenty of pages to play around with you could always have spread your contents over two pages. We’ve gone for a video game style page with a fun intro to set the tone of the book. Use your imagination to come up with different themes that could carry on throughout the whole book.
